Winter is ending.....Thank GOD!

This weekend marked the literal (though not official) end of winter. The rains came and washed the snow down river. We had a few pensive days watching the river rise and hoping our house did not take on water. There are holes in the floors which were drilled to allow flood water to exit the house. This is not a reassuring fact.

I have an exciting weekend ahead of me. In the early 1980s I was introduced to "The Shake Russell/Dana Cooper Band" out of the Houston area. They were a big influence on me and it might even be said that they were the sole source of inspiration for me to get more heavily into writing and playing in those years. Later on I got to open for them on several occasions. This Friday night (April 8th, 2005) Dana Cooper is coming to my local favorite Venue and musical home....Middle Earth. I get to open for Dana Cooper. I don't remember when I last saw Dana, early 90s or late 80s. I opened for his longtime buddy Shake Russell a few times in 93, but Dana wasn't with him at that time...so I am hoping Dana remembers me.

I am continuing to work at the radio station....mornings on a CHR station in rural Vermont. Donna and I are also producing some tourist maps which are being received quite nicely. You can find out more at nekmedia.com. Click on "Print".

I have started working on my second album. This one will be a combination of very old stuff and very new stuff. It is fun to be recording again.

I hope you can catch me at a live show. Check my schedule.
