NEWS 12-08-2006
news archive

Today is Friday December 8th 2006.

I did a news update a few months ago and now seems like a good time to do another news update.

Christmas is almost here. Our kids are thrilled and the snow arrived last night covering everything with a beautiful white blanket. It's so amazing to me the way the seasons change. It's never sudden, but always gradual and easy feeling. I love the changing seasons. I used to hate being in places where it stayed so much the same for the majority of the year.

Change has been a pretty major theme in my life. My parents moved over 20 times in their 22 years of marriage. It was hard growing up that way but I it gave me as many positives as negatives....the yin and the yang.

While my steady job has been a blessing it also feels constricting but I find I am getting used to it. As my testosterone ebbs with age and common sense is allowed to show through, I find myself more capable of doing what I need to do to take care of this big wonderful family.

On the musical front, I have recently signed a deal with SoundworksFM in Europe. They actually bought rights to my tunes so they can play my music on their "In Store" network. They claim my music will be heard by millions. It would be great if something happens there, but it was nice to get a small payment for the right to play my music.

Folks are finding me on Podcasts. I have been getting alot of play on podcasts and even made the Podcast Top Ten! Whoo Hoo! I was even on Adam Curry's podcast. I am also doing great on garageband.com and have been included in the in Clear Channel/Garageband promotion where I get airplay on 400 Clear Channel stations. Again, no money, but I am getting lots of great ego boosts.

I almost have our studios completed. I have to insulate and drywall our studios, then I can get to some serious recording. I am hopeful that I will be able to produce at the same quality level that I did last time. I can't wait to get back to recording.

I will keep you up to date on how things are going.
