NEWS 09-05-2006
news archive

Today is Tuesday September 5th 2006.

This is longest stretch without an updated News page. It has been 14 months since I last updated this page. Life has been VERY busy. In my last news update I suggested that my new album would be done by December 2005. What a joke.

I have done some recording, but certainly not enough to even claim that my next project has begun. Life gets in the way. With 5 kids (6 including me), 2 cats and wife, life is pretty full. Here's what has happened in the last year:

We have become involved in our local "First Night" Celebration. Donna and I book entertainment for the annual event. Last year it at up much time and threatens to do the same this year. We joined the board of directors at our local community run ski hill called "The Lyndon Outing Club" (www.skilyndon.com). I groom the Cross Country Ski Trails. In May 2006 we moved to a nicer house in the country...but there is no space for a studio. In order to build a studio, I first had to build a shed to store our crap while I build. I then have to build Donna's photography studio, then I get to build my recording studio.

It is my sincerest hope that the studio will be done by mid October and that I may have this new album done by December. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

The kids are all great and growing like weeds. The other day I stumble upon a pair of shoes and was furious that someone left my size 13 tennis shoes laying in the dining room floor. When I looked closer, I noticed that they are my 12 year old son Maxs' shoes. This is scary.

My 14 year old daughter Mira is amazing. She plays guitar, bass and drums and is up to "Blue Belt" in Tae Kwon Do. She is beautiful, intelligent, talented, focused and introspective. I have to have a serious talk with Donna about this as there is no way she could be mine.

Jasper is 10 and is doing very well. Jasper can fix the things that we can't figure out.

Val Jr. is 8 and is doing wonderfully in 3rd grade. A talented and gentle soul with perfect pitch.

And finally, Elissa (our 4 yr old) is starting Pre-Kindergarten in about a week. She is excited and ready to fill her head.

With Elissa going to school 4 hours each day, this will be the first time since 1992 that Donna and I will have no kids in the house for a few hours a day. We will have 1.5 hours per morning to ourselves. Wow....this will be wierd. I will try to keep you posted. Immortal CDs are available at Amazon.com, Cdbaby.com, Bandtrax.net and you can buy the songs individually on Itunes.

Hope to have live shows to tell you about soon.
